stitch fix reveal | #5

good morning!

IMG_2305this beautiful box arrived on my door step yesterday morning and goooood night, the squeals that come.. L & P just stare.

if only they knew the excitement that this little box brings!

so for you virgins out there.. i won’t tell anyone, it’s cool.. here’s what this little box is all about:

1. you fill out your style profile, answering all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. you can also write notes about likes/dislikes. linking your board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like is a huge help so your stylist can get a good picture of the types of things you like!
2. schedule your fix! you will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep any item (or more) you will be credited back the $20. i always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.
3.  best mail day evvvvver.  you will receive 5 items (clothing, jewelry + accessories, whatever you prefer). i personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know!
3. take 3 days to decide what you want to keep/send back (in a postage paid envelope, of course).  use this time to try everything on.  match what’s in your closet, use your jewelry, walk around in it… this is my favorite part. i hate buying a shirt only to get home and realize i have nothing to wear with it. with stitch fix, this isn’t a problem!! bonus: if you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, yaaaas!
it should be noted that while I have chosen to receive fixes randomly when i choose (when i have an event coming or need something new), you can also opt to receive fixes on a schedule (monthly, 2x/year, etc.). i started stitch fix almost 3 years ago and have randomly received fixes then!
**stitch fix also offers maternity clothes now and gift cards that you can give which make a perfect surprise present for any woman!
as always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
okay now seriously, let’s get this show on the road! if you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! i am the queen of copying other fixes!
IMG_2297market and spruce bruce double strap blouse (keep): i’ve been dying for some color to add to my wardrobe and am in desperate need of some tanks that are cute and still appropriate for running around with two toddlers.  i love this pattern, the color and how roomy it is without feeling boxy. win. win. win.
IMG_2298market & spruce brian knit maxi dress (HELP!): i asked my stylist for a maxi to wear for date night and while i was super excited when i opened the box to see this, trying it on wasn’t a ‘moment’. the entire idea for me is to only keep items i have fallen in love with. but zach fell in love with this. i feel like it’s not flattering at all in my chest or waist…help?! someone?! anyone?!
IMG_230441hawthorn caliber solid tab sleeve blouse (return): while i love this color and really the fit too, this just isn’t the type of clothing i need these days. super cute and functional… but, i can see myself staining it within the first 2 minutes of wearing it and since i’m not working anymore, i don’t need any more blouses… sad to see you go, but i need to be practical.
IMG_2299 paper moon hearst cross back blouse(keep): heavens to betsy this is so me. kinda plain, kinda simple… but i love love the color and this back is. to. die. for. how cute?!?! i feel like it can be made super casual (like how i have it styled here) for play dates at the park… or be dressed up for date night. wham, bam, thank you mam!
IMG_2300seavess legend lace-up sneaker (HELP!!): two words: yellow shoes. oh my. my heart says yes, my wallet says no. i really am in the market for a cute pair of slip on shoes, but then these arrive. do they not scream sunshine and happiness?! i think it would be impossible to have a bad day wearing these. ugh. but do i need them?!… bah. what’s a mama to do?!
IMG_1983alright guys, help me out?! what are your thoughts?!
click HERE to start filling out your style profile! it doesn’t cost a thing to make a profile!
question: have you tried stitch fix?! what do you love or what’s holding you back?!
xoxo,
Lindsey

  1. I am wearing the same sneakers in Navy and love them!!! They are comfy and versatile. I have gotten so many compliments… I say KEEP 🙂

    1. Oh SO good to know, Julie!! Thanks!! They really are super comfy!! I feel like I’ll never take them off!

  2. I agree that the double strap blouse is great!
The maxi dress is classy, looks super. Maybe a belt?
Tab sleeve blouse too loose in my opinion. Nice color on you.
Hearst cross back blouse is the cutest and with the jean shorts it looks terrific.
Yellow sneakers are on trend, a pop of color. But if you won’t wear them, I agree you should send them back.
For me, this fashion show rocked, but I’m the girl who subscribes to every fashion magazine in print.
I hope you will continue to share your fashion finds! ?

    1. I love the honest feedback!! Thank you!! Stitch Fix certainly helps me to find new stuff that is just a little out of my comfort zone… If I can find one item I can’t live without its a win!!

  3. I sent that exact same maxi back recently. I wanted to love it….but just because I am a mom with a little mom belly I still want clothes that make me feel attractive. And that dress was comfy and soft & felt good on but it made me feel like I was shapeless. My husband liked it ok but he loves me & has to say that lol. It looks better on you than it did me though. Stitch fix is so fun to get/try!

    1. It’s super comfy!!.. but I’m having the same problem, I feel shapeless… and I’m not a curvy person to begin with, so I like clothes that give me a little shape! I’m with ya, it really is fun! 🙂
