bump style with stitch fix | maternity reveal

..24 weeks..
good night, time is flying and i can’t believe we’re getting closer and closer to meeting our sweet baby brother.  this pregnancy has been so drastically different than the girls’ pregnancy….so…easy. my full-blown morning all day-sickness ended around 17 weeks and i’ve been full of energy and feeling great.
thank. God. {seriously.}

i’ve been keeping up with the big sisters and we’ve really been having the time of our lives lately.  i’m finally starting to put some plans together for the nursery… we even went and picked out some paint today!! it’s crazy to think that at this time with the girls, i had been on bed rest for over a month and had a 4 week countdown going until my admission for hospital bedrest.

homeboy is making his presence known…both to the outside world {have you seen this bump?!} and inside my belly.  he’s taking full advantage of all of the room in there and one second i feel like he’ll kick his way out and then the next i feel him way up under my ribs.  for as much as i don’t love sleeping on the couch sometimes, and my back is starting to ache, i absolutely L.O.V.E. the feeling of being pregnant with all of the kicks and flutters. maybe it’s perspective and the fact that i was never sure i’d be blessed to be pregnant again, but i am trying to savor every single moment with this sweet boy.

the girls are hilariously obsessed with my belly.. they couldn’t stop giggling yesterday morning putting their face on my belly only to have baby boy give a good kick in their cheek.  i have to say it may be my favorite moment yet.

..anyways..

y’all know my love for stitch fix and i was super pumped to be able to try out their maternity line this pregnancy!! for the sake of transparency, this was actually my second maternity fix i received.  the first fix i received really cute clothes, but almost everything was just too dressy for my day to day life with twin toddlers….or too expensive {think $70 for plain black leggings…}, so i had sent everything back and it was a 0/5. maternity clothes are certainly more expensive, but for basics, i just couldn’t justify that.  i did, however, need some winter casual clothes to be able to rock for the bulk of our ohio weather, so i definitely wanted to try it again. if there’s one thing i have learned about stitch fix is the more feedback you give your stylist, the better your fixes will be.  that being said, my next fix {below} was absolutely a homerun… blake nailed it out of the park!

so if you haven’t jumped head first into stitch fix…1. you need to. 2. here’s what this little box is all about:

1. you fill out your style profile, answering all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. you can also write notes about likes/dislikes. linking your board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like is a huge help so your stylist can get a good picture of the types of things you like!
 2. schedule your fix! you will be charged a $20 styling fee however, if you keep any item (or more) you will be credited back the $20. i always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.
 3.  best mail day evvvvver.  you will receive 5 items (clothing, jewelry + accessories, whatever you prefer). i personally only want clothing in my fix so I just always let my stylist know!
 4. take 3 days to decide what you want to keep/send back (in a postage paid envelope, of course).  use this time to try everything on.  match what’s in your closet, use your jewelry, walk around in it… this is my favorite part. i hate buying a shirt only to get home and realize i have nothing to wear with it. with stitch fix, this isn’t a problem!! bonus: if you keep all 5 items you will receive 25% off your entire fix, yaaaas!
it should be noted that while I have chosen to receive fixes randomly when i choose (when i have an event coming or need something new), you can also opt to receive fixes on a schedule (monthly, 2x/year, etc.). i started stitch fix almost 4 years ago and have randomly received fixes then!
**stitch fix also offers men’s, women’s and now plus size!! you can also purchase gift cards to give which make a perfect surprise present for anyone in your life!
as always, if you ever have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
okay now, seriously, let’s get this show on the road! if you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin away and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar! i am the queen of copying other fixes!

1.  pixley willow draped cardigan

tee +  jeans c/o + booties {old}
this may be my favorite piece in the entire fix… it is beyond cozy, comfy and so so easy to wear with this ever growing bump.  obviously i have full intention to wear it regardless of housing a human being, and i fully intend on it being an awesome cardi to nurse in too! and can we talk about this tee.  100% not sponsored in any sort of way… it’s just my obsession…and should be my life mantra right now.

2.  loveappella maternity connie boatneck maternity knit top

casual maternity style

vest {old} + jeans + earrings c/o
this was such an easy piece to fit into my closet and is a g0-to staple if nothing else is fitting right. i’m all about comfort these days and it goes well with anything… the distressed skinnies, the flare or bootcut, and even into spring with a pair of shorts! throw a vest or cardi on, or push up the sleeves and you’re out the door! every pregnant mama needs an easy piece like this!

3. kut from the kloth ophelia maternity bootcut jeans
{and}
4.  full moon peppy 3/4 sleeve maternity knit top

necklace {stitchfix}
this shirt. it’s kinda loud and i’m basically in love. it is seriously one of the softest shirts and i’ve found myself grabbing for it more than i originally thought! its a much needed pop of color on our dreary winter days and i’m excited to wear this one well into the spring! onto the pants…blogger fail. i forgot the pic of the jeans…wah wah. they’re cute, and i reeeeally needed another pair of jeans since that’s basically all i wear. i haven’t owned a pair of bootcut jeans in quite a few years and wasn’t sure about the price tag…. until i put them on. kut from the kloth does it again and this time in maternity fashion, brilliance.

5.  madigan mimi hoodie maternity knit top

leggings + shoes
you know you’re pregnant when..your hoodies don’t fit. we’re there. slightly earlier than i would have liked but… it happened. enter the floral + hoodie. speaking my language over here. it’s long enough to cover my tush which makes it the perfect piece to throw on with leggings and some sneaks then out to target we go. can i get an amen?! let’s be honest… i don’t think i’ve ever worn my hair down with this outfit and you can usually catch this momiform {that’s a thing, right?} complete with a topknot. let’s not get crazy with makeup and hair down… regardless. i needed this hoodie… so let’s save the best for last. because who doesn’t sit in the middle of the street…pregnant?! you’re welcome 🙂

question: where is your favorite place to find maternity clothes?!

  1. Love the hoodie, love the pic of you sitting in the street too. The glow you have is undeniable and I couldn’t be happier for you! ?❤??

  2. SO many cute things!! I have treated myself to Stitch Fix a couple times and I’m always impressed with the items. I will def try the maternity option again whenever that time comes again 😉 That polka dot shirt is my favorite on you- you look great!!

  3. Maternity styles have come such a long way. Your Stitch Fix items are so cute! I shopped at Target and Motherhood Maternity for the most part with my pregnancies.

  4. Oh my gosh, that draped cardigan is amazing! I love it so much, I would totally wear that and I’m not pregnant! Looks adorable and cozy and like it would pull together and outfit.
