good morning, friend! i hope you’re having a fantastic week so far..did you have monday off?!
zach is a teacher and his school was one of the lucky ones who had off so the girls and i took full advantage. we decided to make a day of heading to a local farm that has so much to offer: a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, animals, produce and of course all of the fall goodies for the home. if you’re local to the dayton area, you have to check out tukens orchard and farm market!

i was so excited because although we took them to a pumpkin patch last year, they were teeny and had absolutely no idea what was going on.
we’re at such a fun stage where everything is new and exciting..i couldn’t wait to see their faces!

first up were the piggies and listening to piper stand in front of those potbelly’s making her snorting sound was more than worth the trip! lila waved the whole time and kept trying to touch their snouts.

we attempted the pumpkin patch next but with two hangry toddlers, we quickly gave up and decided we’d try again after lunch! ^verge of meltdown^

after everyone filled up on peanut butter + honey sandwiches, applesauce, and yogurt, we made our way to the apple orchard.  aside from our own apple trees, this was the first time the girls had been to an orchard…and they licked every apple they could get their hands on.

both girls were fairly needy and wanted picked up and held literally the entire trip.  luckily they sometimes settled for a wagon ride because we walked alllll over this farm!

we finally wrapped back around to the pumpkin patch and snuck in some final pictures and lovins before we snagged some mums, extra pumpkins and more apples!

all these pumpkins and apples had me craving some pie…so who wants to come over this weekend for some yummy goodies?!
with as much as i hate to see summer go, i’m finally in fall mode and ready for all of the fun festivities that are to be had!!
